A dream was born when a charming 114 year old church building went up for sale in Downs, IL. Denise and Lisa decided this building would be the perfect place for a tearoom! The building is located near the Kickapoo Creek so the name of Kickapoo Tearoom was chosen. “We love the idea of bringing people together”. Tearooms are a place for friends and family to connect in an environment that is set apart from our hectic society. Denise and Lisa have worked to create a space that is warm, calm, and inviting to escape the world for a moment and just enjoy another’s company. These ladies both appreciate the French Provincial styling and had much fun in cultivating the atmosphere of their tearoom which feels elegant yet comfortable.
